E346021       UK      |    Romania    |   Hong Kong   + 44 ( 0 ) 1256 461894 Copyright EC Electronics Limited 2010 News February 2009 After gaining planning permission in the summer of 2008 to install a mezzanine floor at it's Unit 4 UK location in Basingstoke, EC is pleased to announce the successful completion of the project within forecasted timescales February 13th 2009 EC's Managing Director, Phil Simmonds comments : ' The successful installation of a mezzanine floor at our Unit 4 site has allowed us to maximise the internal volume in this unit by adding another 3500 sq ft, providing a total of over 9000 sq ft of operating space for our UK factory.' We planned to have the mezzanine floor installed by the middle of October 2008 and fully operational by year end and have reached this goal. Consolidating operations into one unit and making more efficient use of available space above ground floor level, provides considerable benefits to our business.   As well as saving operating costs, communication and interaction between our operational departments has been significantly increased. It will assist us in achieving our goal to operate as economically and efficiently as possible in the current business climate, to the mutual benefit of ourselves and our clients.'
